IT’S YOUR HEALTH. IT’S YOUR CHOICE.
Can’t I get these tests through my doctor?
Yes — but only if your insurance company deems them a ‘medical necessity’.
If your goal is to monitor and prevent, or if you’re asymptomatic, expect your claim to be denied.
YOU CAN’T MANAGE WHAT YOU DON’T MEASURE.

Biomarkers measure signals. BioMaps reveal patterns.
Biomarkers are individual, measurable signals of biological activity — like blood glucose, insulin, or cholesterol.
BioMaps are cutting-edge diagnostic panels comprised of domain-specific biomarkers. By analyzing biomarkers synchronously, BioMaps provide a much deeper view of health.
-
BioMaps for minors: BioMaps can be ordered on behalf of a minor provided that you are that minors custodial parent or legal guardian.
BIOMAP DOMAINS

Biomarkers have both a reference and an optimal range.
Reference ranges: reflect results of the general population. Typically not calibrated or adjusted to account for gender, age or lifestyle.
Optimal ranges: reflect what is healthiest for function, performance, and longevity. Comparing your biomarkers against their optimal range can reveal early warning signs typically masked by reference ranges.
-
Semi-annual assessments are recommended, as these afford the opportunity to more rapidly spot trends, both in the positive and negative directions.
step 1—place order
step 2—submit sample
step 3—receive results
In addition to diagnostic panels, we also offer stand-alone tests. Click here to search our inventory.

Doctors come and go. BioMaps stay in your account.
BioMap reports include personalized results, reference ranges (normal values), flagged abnormal results (high/low), units of measure, as well as applicable comments and interpretations.
-
If your BioMap reveals significant abnormalities, don’t panic. The first step is to retest.
Biomarkers can and do fluctuate due to factors like hydration, stress, diet, physical activity, and time of day.
Following a retest, if abnormalities persist, this should be considered an early warning, and a discussion with your doctor is recommended.

Biomarker: individual, measurable signals of biological activity. BioMaps are comprised of biomarkers.
BioMap: a diagnostic panel, comprised of a group of related biomarkers. By analyzing multiple biomarkers synchronously, BioMaps provide a much deeper view of health, uncovering patterns of disease years before symptoms escalate.
Reference range: the “normal” range established from the general population.
Optimal range: a narrower range, within the reference range, that reflects peak function (not just absence of disease).
Qualitative test: indicates presence or absence (e.g., positive/negative).
Quantitative test: provides numerical measurement (e.g., mg/dL, ng/mL).
Serum: the liquid portion of blood after clotting; does not contain clotting factors.
Plasma: the liquid portion of blood with clotting factors intact (requires anticoagulant).
Whole blood: blood drawn without separation of cells or plasma.
Assay: a test to measure the presence or concentration of a substance.
Immunoassay: a test using antibodies to detect specific proteins, hormones, or antigens.
Antibody: a protein produced by the immune system to neutralize antigens.
Antigen: molecule or protein that triggers an immune response.
Total: measures all forms of a substance (bound + unbound).
Free: measures the active, unbound form of a hormone or molecule.
Bound: the portion of a molecule (e.g., hormone) attached to a carrier protein.
Enzyme: a protein that speeds up chemical reactions in the body, such as breaking down food or repairing tissues.
Hormone: produced by glands of the endocrine system, hormones are chemical messengers that travel through the bloodstream triggering specific biological responses. Hormones come in difference classes including peptide hormones (e.g., insulin, oxytocin), amine hormones (e.g., adrenaline, thyroid hormones) and steroid hormones.
Steroid: steroids are a specific class of hormones derived from cholesterol. Steroid hormones include cortisol (stress hormone), aldosterone (regulates salt/water balance), and sex hormones (e.g., estrogen, progesterone, testosterone).
Proteins: essential molecules that perform nearly every function in the human body. Made from chains of amino acids, there are thousands of unique proteins in the body—each with a specialized role.

Diagnostic units of measure are typically expressed as a combination of a metric prefix (e.g., pico, nano, micro, milli) and the volume or mass base (e.g., per mL, per L, per g).
pg: Picograms
pg/mL: Picograms per milliliter
ng/mg: Nanograms per milligram
ng/dL: Nanograms per deciliter
ng/mL: Nanograms per milliliter
nmol/L: Nanomoles per liter
mcg/dL: Micrograms per deciliter
umol/L: Micromoles per liter
mg/dL: Milligrams per deciliter
mg/mmol: Milligrams per millimole
mg/mL: Milligrams per milliliter
mg/L: Milligrams per liter
mmol/L: Millimoles per liter
mg/g: Milligrams per gram
g/dL: Grams per deciliter
